Bookbinder –
technology transfer of japaneese tradition
Individual pages are collated into a block sewn together with a thread. This technique is known as Japanese binding.
The Bookbinder makes it possible to bind a pile of paper properly in one operation into a high quality booklet. The usual stapling operation in a stapling machine is replaced by a binding operation, calling up associations with the traditional bookbinding craft.
The inividual pages are collated into a block sewn together with a thread. This technique is known as Japanese binding. The system is simple to operate: you insert the pile which is to be bound into the machine, which drills through the paper block and then sews it together with a thread. When the machine is on, the display and control element show up through the interface, and are touch-sensitive.
Ultimately, the Bookbinder brings together the two major product fields of the Brother company: printing and sewing.
