Foodmodeling –
fine-spun delicacies

Technical advances in three-dimensional knitting and embroidery and the invention of edible thread have made the dream of "thread candy" a reality.

This design is based on the idea of edible thread. The machine works thread made out of chocolate, marzipan or even cheese, wound up in a cartridge, into any three-dimensional form.

The desired object receives stability of form through the embroidery, sewing or knitting procedures used. These edible objects can encase, pierce or garnish the foods of the future, or they can be the food itself. The possibilities are simply endless.

There are no limits to one's imagination. Things that only top chefs or confectioners are able to conjure up thanks to the dexterity gained from years of practice could be used in future by anyone to make for a successful dinner party at home.
