Weidmannsheil –
uniform for the faculty of Design

How does a name become a Brand? Which characteristics can be communicated by a Logo? Weidmansheil gets form, position and substance.

By courtesy of Mr. Frank Weidmann this brand was developed for working-clothes for the model workshop of the University of Applied Science Darmstadt.

Frank Weidmann is Head of the prototype shop for the industrial design course. As a sideline, he is a passionate hunter. “Weidmannsheil” is a traditional wish for good luck to a hunter before the hunt. It is also said to congratulate a hunter on a kill. "Heil" verbalizes grace, profit, entirenes or health or rather in religious sense redemption.

The logo was attached to clothes and workshop accessories by using various print methods and was communicated to the faculty of design through a presentation.
